The new transport corridor "Tashkent-Andijan-Osh-Irkeshtam-Kashgar" will start working on February 25, 2018.

The first convoy with cargo will go on the new transport corridor "Tashkent-Andijan-Osh-Irkeshtam-Kashgar" on February 25, 2018. The route will allow cargo transportation for 31 hours instead of the previous 10 days.

Products of exporters of Uzbekistan and neighboring countries will be delivered by vehicles of Silk Road International. Upon arrival in Kashgar, the convoy will depart on the return route already with imported products.

To create additional conveniences for consignors and consignees of the republic, in Andijan region a multimodal transport and logistics center has been created on the basis of the terminal of the station "Akhtachi", allowing cargo to be transported from all corners of Uzbekistan to Andijan by rail and then to China by road.

The opening of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China automobile corridor was initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Sh. M. Mirziyoyev during his State visit to the People's Republic of China in May 2017.
