Georgia granted Uzbekistan a 50% discount on the transportation by railway of all types of cargo throughout the country.
During the meeting of the working group led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a number of Georgian ministries, departments and companies, а meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was held in Tbilisi.
Within the framework of the meeting, it is planned to conclude contracts and agreements on cooperation in transport and logistics, use of transport corridors passing through Georgian territory, and the opening of a joint trading house in Tbilisi.
Following the meeting with the leadership of the Georgian Railway Company, agreements were reached on developing cooperation in the field of railway transport, efficient use of international transport corridors and increasing the volume of transit goods transported by railways of both countries.
One of the results of these negotiations was the provision by the Georgian side of a 50% discount on the transportation of all types of Uzbek cargo by railway.
